DC Woman Faces Charges After Shoplifting Incident at Walmart in Kingstowne: Police

Police say the 35-year old woman fled the parking lot after she was confronted by loss prevention employees.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Police say a D.C. woman is facing charges after she shoplifted items and then fled the scene after loss prevention employees stopped her outside the Kingstowne Walmart.

Police said that the incident took place at about 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Walmart on Kingstowne Boulevard. Loss prevention employees told police they saw a woman leave the store without paying for merchandise. They recovered the items, however, the suspect fled in a car, police said. Officers responded, located the vehicle, initiated a traffic stop and took her into custody.

Further investigation revealed the suspect was in possession of narcotics and other stolen property. Felicia Ross, 35, of Washington D.C., was taken to jail and charged with grand larceny, possession of a schedule I or II drug, possession of stolen property with the intent to sell, and three counts of credit card theft.
