Dominion EnergyShare Program Marks 1-Year Anniversary by Weatherizing Vet's Home
Dominion Virginia Power, Operation Renewed Hope Foundation, Community Housing Partners team up for one-year anniversary of EnergyShare.
FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Last fall, Dominion committed $57 million through 2019 to provide more bill assistance and long-term energy efficiency improvements for qualified customers, with a special focus on helping military veterans and people with disabilities.
Dominion, Operation Renewed Hope Foundation and Community Housing Partners celebrated the one-year anniversary Thursday by weatherizing a single family house with an attached in-law suite that is home to two veterans in Fairfax County.
Dominion volunteers and energy experts installed LED light bulbs, low flow showerheads and insulation; tuned-up the AC system; sealed ducts; and applied weather stripping and caulk to windows and doors.
