FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- How'd you like to win free barbecue for a year? You'll get your chance. It's part of the promotion of the new Dickey's Barbecue Pit, opening Thursday at Hilltop Village shopping center. The address is 6451 Old Beulah Street Alexandria, VA 22315.

The restaurant brings its Texas-style barbecue to the Alexandria area Thursday with the grand opening of its newest location at Hilltop Village Center.

The restaurant will open Thursday at 11 a.m. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Three patrons will win free barbecue for a year at the Hilltop location, according to a news release from Dickey's Barbecue Pit.

Interested? Guests can enter to win using hashtag #1FreeYearofBBQ on any social media page, order online or sign up for the Big Yellow Cup Club to receive special offers and loyalty points which can be redeemed for free barbecue.

Here's what BBQ lovers have to look forward to for the grand opening:

  • Thursday, April 28: First 50 guests receive a "special treat." Doors open on "Thirsty Thursday," when all guests will receive a free Big Yellow Cup with Dickey’s new reusable travel lid and straw.
  • Friday, April 29: Philanthropy Friday – “You Give, We Give,” guests who donate to Dickey’s charitable foundation, Barbecue, Boots & Badges, will receive a gift card. Uniformed first responders will also receive 50 percent off their meal.
  • Saturday is ‘Singer-Songwriter’ Saturday, so come out and hear live music. Enjoy live music and get a free Big Yellow Cup.
  • Sunday Kids eat free (that's every Sunday).

Guests can enjoy the grand opening events over the next four weeks every Thursday to Sunday.
