Police: Man Assaulted on Hechinger Drive
The latest weekly activity report provided by the Fairfax County Police Department on Sept. 6. Mentioned arrests do not indicate convictions.

The following are incidents reported by the Fairfax County Police in their weekly report, released Friday.
Assault (red on map), Sept. 1, 6900 block of Hechinger Drive. A 36-year-old man was assaulted by three unknown individuals. Nothing was stolen and the victim was transported with non life-threatening injuries.
In separate and unrelated incidents:
Burglary (blue on map), Aug. 30, 6000 block of Hanover Avenue. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole copper piping. Forced entry was made through a window.
Burglary (blue on map), Sept. 2, 7200 block of Commerce Street. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole cash. There were no signs of forced entry.

- 6200 block of Brandon Avenue, laptop computer from business
- 5200 block of Cather Road, sander machine from vehicle
- 5900 block of Dinwiddie Street, purse from vehicle
- 6200 block of Edsall Road, cell phone from vehicle
- 6100 block of Franconia Road, cell phone from vehicle
- 7400 block of Highland Street, purse from vehicle
- 7200 block of Old Keene Mill Road, cigarettes from business
- 6100 block of Rose Hill Drive, groceries from business
- 6200 block of Rose Hill Drive, rock from residence
- 6300 block of Springfield Plaza, cell phone from business
- 5500 block of Backlick Road, Mazda
- 6600 block of Rock Island Road, 2008 Suzuki
