Sobriety Checkpoint: Police to Team Up with MADD This Weekend in Fairfax County
A sobriety checkpoint is planned for Saturday, Sept. 3 in the Franconia Police District, police said Wednesday.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA -- Fairfax County Police will team up with Mothers Against Drunk Drivers (MADD) this weekend for a sobriety checkpoint in the Franconia Police District, police announced Wednesday.
Police do not disclose the exact location beforehand. The Franconia Police District is 51 square miles and it includes Annandale, Springfield, Lorton, Little River Turnpike south to Mason Neck and I-95 east to Telegraph Road. See a map of the district here.
It also contains the I-95/I-495 interchange, Springfield Mall, Kingstowne, Lorton, Gunston Hall Plantation, Pohick Bay Regional Park, Mason Neck State Park, Mason Neck National Wildlife Preserve, Lee District Park and Accotink Park.
