Other volunteers are also needed for off-loading debris.
Local nonprofit groups will team up on April 13 to clean up the Occoquan River, and experienced canoeists and kayakers are needed to gather up debris, the Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition announced.
Other volunteers are also needed to off-load the debris. The Occoquan River cleanup is part of the Alice Ferguson Foundation 25th Potomac River Watershed Clean-up Day. REI, which has a location at Woodbridge's Potomac Town Center, will also assist with promotion and volunteers.
Canoeists and kayakers can register here to volunteer their time with this cleanup.
