How to Celebrate Pi Day in Woodbridge and Occoquan

You may not be able to remember more than a few digits of this mathematical constant, but you can remember to support local business.

Pi Day is this Thursday, and while mathematicians everywhere celebrate the mathematical constant, I plan on celebrating my sweet tooth by digging into a local slice of pie.

Pi Day is annually celebrated on March 14, or 3/14, so designated because Pi is approximately 3.14. Pi is the ratio of any circle's circumference to its diameter. Quick math problem: if Mom's Apple Pie in Occoquan sells you a pie that is nine inches in diameter, how long would it take to hide the pie from your loved ones, so they don't finish it off before you get a slice? On second thought, maybe math isn't my forte.

So tell me: how will you celebrate Pi Day? Which local bakery is your favorite, and which pie will you take home on Thursday? If you hate pie, but love Pi Day, share your alternate celebration plans.
