Police initially responded on March 22 at 12:32 a.m. to the 4100 block of Merchant Plaza in Lake Ridge for the report of an assault from a fight.
"The victim, a 26-year-old man of Woodbridge, reported to police that he and his brother were at a restaurant in the above area when they encountered a few individuals, some of who were known to the victim," Perok said. "The victim and his brother left the establishment and were in the parking lot when the same individuals approached them. A verbal altercation escalated physically and, at one point, one of the men struck the victim to the face with a glass bottle. The fight was eventually broken up prior to police arrival."
