Supervisor Mike May Asks Trader Joe's to Come to Woodbridge Area

Patch readers often ask when Trader Joe's will come to the Woodbridge area.

Without fail, when Patch publishes an article on a new vacancy in the Woodbridge area, the most popular reader question is, "Can we get a Trader Joe's in that spot?"

A Facebook page called "Bring Trader Joe's to Woodbridge, VA" currently sports 337 likes.

Occoquan District Supervisor Mike May fields this request from his constituents on a regular basis. Now he's reached out to Trader Joe's himself, in a letter this month asking the store to consider moving to the area.

"The community's desire for you to locate in Prince William County is a testament to the quality of your products and the fact that you offer something different that our existing retailers do not," May wrote. "And I suspect that if you did decide to locate in Prince William County, you would be quite successful."
