Celebrate "SlurpFree Day" at 7-Eleven Stores

Slurpee fans can get their brain freezes and sugar highs for free this week during a "SlurpFree Day" at participating  stores.

The chain is giving away free, 7.11-ounce cups of the popular frozen drink on Wednesday, May 23 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. to celebrate the beginning of the summer, 7-Eleven officials in Dallas said Tuesday.

If you want the brain freeze without the calories, there's the new Slurpee Lite Fanta Sugar-Free Mango drink. The Slurpee Lite Fanta debuted this month and is the first of several sugar-free and regular flavors this summer, according to a 7-Eleven news release. 

The 8-ounce Slurpee Lite Fanta Sugar-Free Mango drink contains 20 calories, compared with the 66 calories in a Slurpee Fanta Wild Cherry of the same size, according to 7-Eleven headquarters. Here's a Slurpee-flavor debut time line for all the fans out there:

May: Slurpee Lite: Fanta Sugar-Free Mango

June: Slurpee Lite: Fanta Sugar-Free Mango

July: Slurpee Lite: Fanta Sugar-Free Strawberry Banana

If one day of free Slurpees just isn't enough, 7-Eleven will celebrate its birthday on July 11 with Free Slurpee Day.
