Gun On Loudoun School Property Leads To Charge: Sheriff's Office

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office found a gun in a student's vehicle on a school campus.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — A student was charged after bringing a gun onto school property Wednesday, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

Around 10 a.m., the school resource officer at the Academies of Loudoun was notified about a student potentially under the influence. An investigation revealed the 17-year-old boy may have bought a gun on school property. A search of the vehicle revealed a gun and ammunition inside.

The student was charged possession of a weapon on school property. Additional details about the suspect are not being revealed since he is a juvenile.
