Incumbent Supervisor Sylvia Glass said in a Patch questionnaire that no single issue could define her campaign, as the needs of a leader shift based on public input.

"However, common concerns often include managing rapid population growth, addressing transportation and traffic congestion, maintaining quality education, and ensuring affordable housing for residents," Glass said. "Engaging with the community is essential to determine the current top priority and work collectively to address it effectively."

Sam Kroiz is an independent running for the at-large chair seat on the board of supervisors. He said he was running because he was tired of politicians playing to special interest groups, as he saw it.

"Our most pressing issue is our elected officials giving sweetheart deals to their developer and special interest campaign contributors at the expense of the public interest," Kroiz said in a questionnaire. "I’m offering voters an alternative that they can trust to serve their interests vs partisan and contributor interests as Chairman and also working to adopt ranked-choice voting so that voters can have more and better options in future elections."
