Loudoun Supervisor Elections: 7 Contested Races On 9-Seat Board
Loudoun County voters will cast their ballot on Election Day in races for county supervisor, as all seats on the board are up for grabs.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Election Day is here for voters across Loudoun County. This year, voters can cast their ballot in local races for school board, county supervisor, the State Senate, and the House of Delegates.
All nine seats on the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, including the at-large chair position, is up for election Nov. 7. Incumbent supervisors are seeking reelection in eight of the races.
The race between Democrat Laura TeKrony and Republican Ram Venkatachalam in the newly drawn Little River District is the only race without an incumbent.

Sam Kroiz is an independent running for the at-large chair seat on the board of supervisors. He said he was running because he was tired of politicians playing to special interest groups, as he saw it.
"Our most pressing issue is our elected officials giving sweetheart deals to their developer and special interest campaign contributors at the expense of the public interest," Kroiz said in a questionnaire. "I’m offering voters an alternative that they can trust to serve their interests vs partisan and contributor interests as Chairman and also working to adopt ranked-choice voting so that voters can have more and better options in future elections."

In their campaign materials, candidates have also mentioned concerns about spending and development.
Venkatachalam notes that he would like to lower the county's motor vehicle tax, increased oversight for the Loudoun school system budget, and prevent data centers in residential areas.
