Man Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash In Leesburg Identified: UPDATE

UPDATE: A man was killed and another driver hospitalized Tuesday in a two-vehicle Leesburg crash. The man has been identified: LCSO.

LEESBURG, VA—A man was killed Tuesday morning, May 7, and another driver hospitalized in a two-vehicle crash in the 15700 block of James Monroe Highway, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Killed was Jairon E. Aquilar, 30, of Manassas. The other driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly before 6:30 a.m., police responded to the area of Route 15 near Montressor Road. They found that the driver of a 2004 Honda Civic, the deceased, was headed north on Route 15 when he ran off the road, over-corrected and went into the southbound lane. That's when he was hit broadside by a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado.

The driver was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
