  1. Prince William County Public Schools plans to install solar panels at 12 schools. Due to a partnership with Secure Solar Futures, the county will install solar panel systems at area high, middle, and elementary schools, including Battlefield, Beville, and Minnieville. The installation process will begin in spring and should conclude by the end of the year. (Prince William County Public Schools)
  2. A nearby Nokesville home went up in flames following a wiring failure. At around 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, a fire broke out at a house on Keyser Road. According to the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue, no injuries were reported, and just one person was displaced by the blaze. (Manassas Patch)
  3. The Manassas School Board and city council can't agree on an administrative building. The possible deadline for the Manassas school system’s effort to buy its headquarters building is fast approaching. In early February, the School Board sent a formal letter to the council requesting a vote on a funding package after more than seven months of back-and-forth. (Inside NoVA)
