Crash Kills Man, Seriously Injures Four In Bristow: Police

One person was killed and four others seriously injured Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash in Bristow, according to PWC Police.

BRISTOW, VA—One person was killed and four others seriously injured Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash in the 10900 block of Bristow Road, according to Prince William County Police. Edgar Medrano, 24, of Manassas, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shortly after 10:30 p.m., police went to the scene for a reported crash. They found that a 1990 Acura Integra was headed east on Bristow Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road and hit two trees. Medrano was seated directly behind the driver.

Two rear passengers were ejected. The driver and a front-seat passenger were trapped and had to be extricated. The driver was a 19-year-old man Nokesville man. Besides Medrano, the other passengers were a 24-year-old Manassas woman, a 19-year-old Manassas man and a 20-year-old Manassas Park man.

Speed, police say, was a factor in the crash. It's unknown whether alcohol or drugs were factors.
