Family Escapes Manassas House Fire, Cause Under Investigation (patch.com) — Manassas firefighters from multiple jurisdictions quickly contained a townhouse basement fire on Felsted Lane early Tuesday, after working smoke detectors alerted a family that safely evacuated. No one was found trapped inside, and investigators are now working to determine what sparked the Manassas blaze.
   

2. Manassas and Warrenton food pantries receive 36,000-pound donation to fight hunger (potomaclocal.com) — A Manassas-based nonprofit just received 18,000 pounds of food to help local families facing hunger, thanks to a national donation campaign by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Northern Virginia Food Rescue will use the food for its Weekend Backpack Program serving students at 50 schools, while a Warrenton partner pantry expands its own weekend and year-round support.

Virginia man sentenced for kidnapping, tells ex-girlfriend they're 'going to die tonight' (wjla.com) — A woman was abducted from outside her Manassas home by an ex‑boyfriend who drove her into D.C., assaulted her, and threatened to kill her before a bystander intervened. The Chantilly man responsible has now been sentenced to six years in prison plus additional time for related charges, underscoring the seriousness of domestic violence and protective orders for Manassas residents.
