Manassas Blotter: Man Injured In Assault; Fire Set In Car
Police continue to investigate two of the reports that resulted in bodily or property damage.
MANASSAS, VA — Manassas City police on Tuesday responded to a number of calls for service, including the report of a physical assault that left a man with some injuries.
Here are the highlights of what happened this week in Manassas.
Around 5:36 p.m. on Tuesday, officers were called to the 9000 block of Main Street after a man reported personal belongings had been stolen from the trunk of his car.

Later, around 10:17 p.m., a person called police to report a larceny and arson. According to police, a victim in the 10300 block of O’Connell Court had a Samsung phone and beige jacket stolen from his car. He also reported a fire may have been started inside his car. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Earlier on Tuesday, around 2:10 a.m., a person in the 9000 block of Clark Place called police to report her uncle had been physically assaulted. The man was taken to a nearby hospital and treated with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities are investigating the assault.
