Police Officers Battered While Breaking Up Loud Party

Prince William County Police had to bust up a loud party in the Manassas area early Sunday morning.

Several Prince William County Police officers were apparently battered Sunday as they tried to arrest someone who ran from a party that got too loud.

Javier Solano, 32, of 2921 Peyton Randolph Dr. No. 102 in Falls Church is
charged with assault and battery on law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, escape without force and intoxication in public

It happened at 1 a.m. on the 8200 block of Wycliffe Court in the Manassas area of Prince William County, reports show.

Police were responding to complaints of a loud party when they spotted one of the party goers running from the crowd.

Officers caught up with him and after a brief struggle, placed him under arrest, police said.

Meanwhile, other party goers came outside and starting interfering with the suspect being taken into custody.

Authorities are pursuing criminal charges against those people, reports show.

No police officer injuries were reported.

The suspect remains in custody. No bond has been set.
