After her win, Everhardt thanked coaches Tatyana Malinina and Roman Skornyakov, who were Olympic figure skaters for Uzbekistan and are the parents of fellow fellow Northern Virginia skater Ilia Malinin. Malinin won gold for the second time in the men's final.
