Shooting Leaves Man Seriously Injured In Manassas: Police

MANASSAS, VA—A man was arrested Tuesday morning, May 28, following a shooting in the 8100 block of Peakwood Court that left another man hospitalized with serious injuries, according to Prince William County Police. Nigel Emanuel McCauley, 34, of no fixed address, was charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Around 10:15 a.m., police responded to Maplewood Park Apartments for a reported shooting. They found that McCauley and an acquaintance, a 35-year-old man, were involved in an argument that escalated. McCauley then shot the man, fled but was later found by police in the Gainesville area and arrested. He's being held without bond.
