Police: Suspect Pimped Maryland Runaway at Manassas-area Hotel
California man accused of forcing a 15-year-old to engage in sex for money at several Virginia hotels, Prince William County Police said.

A runaway teen from Maryland is home after police said a man helped her engage in prostitution at several Virginia hotels, according to Prince William County Police.
Jamal Arris Thompson, 26, of 24th St. in Oakland, Calif., is charged with
receiving money from prostitution, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, taking indecent liberties with a minor, procuring a person for prostitution and use of a communication device to solicit a minor.
On Thursday, detectives with the county's special investigations bureau encountered a suspicious person near the Holiday Inn at 10424 Balls Ford Rd. in the Manassas-area, not far from Interstate 66.

Officers later learned that the suspect was keeping a 15-year-old girl in a room at the hotel so she could engage in prostitution.
Investigators with the county's special victims unit later learned the girl was reported missing in Maryland.

Police said the girl and the suspect met in February at a Maryland convenience store after the girl had run away from home.
The suspect brought the victim to Virginia and arranged for her to have sex for money at several Virginia hotels, Prince William County Police said.
Officers returned the girl to Maryland; meanwhile the suspect remains in custody in Virginia. No bond has been set.
Prostitution | Contributing to the Delinquency of Minor – On April 18th, detectives from our Special Investigations Bureau encountered a suspicious person in the area of the Holiday Inn located at 10424 Balls Ford Rd in Manassas (20109). During the investigation, detectives learned that the accused was housing a 15 year old female in a room of the hotel believed to be involved in prostitution. Detectives from the Special Victim’s Unit assumed the investigation and identified the female victim as a missing juvenile from Maryland. The investigation revealed that the victim reportedly ran away from home and encountered the accused at a convenience store in Maryland sometime in February. The accused then brought the victim to Virginia where she was prostituted by the accused at various hotels. Following the investigation, the accused was arrested. The victim has since been returned to Maryland.
