Suspect Wanted In Connection to Federal Check Fraud
Prince William County police are searching for a suspect accused of felony check fraud in an attempt to obtain permits from Washington, D.C.
Prince William County police are searching for a man accused of felony check fraud.
In Oct. 2013, officers responded to a report of check fraud from a residence located at the 14400 block of Dowden Downs Drive in Haymarket, Va. The victim reportedly gave the suspect three separate checks valued at $800 total between Aug. to Sept. 2013 to obtain permits from Washington, D.C. An investigation revealed the suspect cashed all three checks without obtaining permits. Officers obtained warrants against the suspect in connection with the incident.
Mark Perigo, 50, of no fixed address, is wanted for two counts of felony obtaining money by false pretenses and one count of misdemeanor obtaining money by false pretenses. Perigo is described as a 5’6” white male weighing 160 pounds with a medium build.
