Teen Killed In Manassas Shooting: Police
The Manassas City Police Department is investigating the shooting death early Wednesday of a 17-year-old.

MANASSAS, VA — The Manassas police say they are investigating the fatal shooting of a teenager that occurred Wednesday morning, July 10. Officers responded at 5:28 a.m. to the report of a shooting in the 8600 block of Diane Court, according to a police statement.
Upon arrival, the officers found a 17-year-old male gunshot victim, the police said. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died of his wounds.
The police on Wednesday did not release the teenager's identity or his home address.

"At this time, it appears to be an isolated incident and that no foul play was involved," the police said. "There is no threat to the community at this time."
The site of the shooting is off Portner Avenue, about a block from the historic Liberia plantation house. The police continued to investigate the shooting on Wednesday.
