Tru By Hilton Hotel Groundbreaking Set In Manassas

MANASSAS, VA—The groundbreaking for a Tru by Hilton hotel at The Landing at Cannon Branch is expected in July 2019, according to the city. It'll be a $15 million, 98-room facility within the mixed-used development.

According to a release, Tru by Hilton is "a revolutionary new brand that is simplified, spirited and grounded in value for guests with a zest for life and a desire for human connection. Hilton created an original, back-to-basics experience with soul-grounded in value and anchored in the DNA of Hilton to win the hearts and minds of guests who are looking for social engagement, unexpected certainty and vibrant simplicity."

Manasass officials say the hotel will be beneficial for the city's major employers, who won't have to find lodging elsewhere for prospects and suppliers. Same goes for tourists in town for various festivals and attractions.

Too, the hotel "is also envisioned as an income-multiplier for the local economy creating spin-off jobs in construction, hospitality and more."
