MANASSAS, VA—A woman was arrested Saturday, June 15, after stabbing a man multiple times until he lost consciousness at a home in the 11000 block of Koman Circle, according to Prince William County Police. Jasmine O'nay Smith, 31, of the aforementioned address, was charged with malicious wounding and held without bond.

Shortly before 4 a.m., police responded to the scene for a reported stabbing and found an unresponsive 36-year-old man who had been stabbed. He was taken to an area hospital where he regained consciousness and was found not to have life-threatening injuries.

An investigation found that the man and a family member—Smith—were involved in an argument that escalated. That's when she whipped out a knife and repeatedly stabbed him in the upper body, after which he tried to flee but lost consciousness outside the home. Smith was arrested shortly thereafter.
