Yorkshire House Destroyed In Wednesday Fire

Five adult residents were displaced in the fire, officials said.

YORKSHIRE, VA — Five residents were displaced on Wednesday when a home in Yorkshire caught fire.

Fire officials said the fire in the 8000 block of Towering Oak Way was reported at 3:26 p.m. When fire crews arrived, the home's garage was completely engulfed in flames. A large portion of the remainder of the house was also badly damaged.

No one injured in the fire, but five adult residents were displaced, Prince William County Fire and Rescue said. The fire first broke out in the home's garage.

An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. A fire department spokesman told Patch the fire has been ruled accidental.
