2023 Fairfax County Election: NoVA Senate Races To Watch
The general election for Senate seats representing Fairfax County and other races will be held in Fairfax County on Tuesday.

FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA — Fairfax County voters will cast ballots in the general election for candidates running for seats in the Virginia Senate. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday.
Among the districts up for grabs in Fairfax County were Senate Districts 35, 37 and 38.
In the 35th Senate District, Sen. Dave Marsden (D) is running against Mark Vafiades (R). Kenneth D. "Ken" Reid (R) is running against Saddam Azlan Salim (D) in the 37th District. District 38 candidates are Matthew J. "Matt" Lang (R) and Jennifer B. Boysko (D).

The races are key for the Democrats' hopes of holding on to the party's majority in that Chamber. Republicans control the House of Delegates.
How to Vote on Election Day
Visit your assigned polling place during voting hours to cast a ballot on Tuesday, Nov. 7. Voting hours are 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. You can find your polling place on the Virginia Department of Elections citizen portal. Precinct lists and maps are available from the Fairfax County Office of Elections.

Like in-person early voting, an acceptable form of ID is required to vote in person on Election Day. Provisional ballots are an alternative to voters without an ID at their polling place.
Mail-in ballots can be returned by mail, in person or drop box. A ballot drop box is available until 7 p.m. Nov. 7 front of the Fairfax County Government Center 24/7 under video surveillance. Ballot drop boxes will also be provided during voting hours at early voting sites and at all polling places from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 7.
Ballots may also be delivered in person to the Fairfax County Office of Elections during office hours, which are typically 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.
