'Argo' Opens in Theaters Friday
The film, partially shot in McLean, opens nationwide on Friday.

It's not often you can go to the movie theater and see your hometown on the big screen.
But that's just what will happen for moviegoers in McLean this weekend. Argo, Ben Affleck's latest project, was partially shot in McLean in 2011 and opens nationwide Friday.
The film is true story based on unclassified intelligence documents. "As the Iranian revolution reaches a boiling point, a CIA 'exfiltration' specialist concocts a risky plan to free six Americans who have found shelter at the home of the Canadian ambassador," according to the International Movie Database.
