"This is a very dangerous hill," said Rajai El-Rashad, who heard the accident from his house at the accident scene."You could just hear a huge collision. You hear brakes screeching all the time," he said.
"It's a curve coming over the hill. If you don't follow the curve you end up in the other lane," he said.

Fairfax police had only the barest of details about the accident which occurred around 2:30 Friday afternoon. The injured person was taken to Fairfax Inova Hospital, police said. The public information office is closed on weekends. We've asked the public information office for additional information.
El-Rashad said the sedan was going southbound on a hill on Springhill and the dump truck was going northbound. Motorists coming southbound come over the hill then encounter a slight curve. The sign indicating a curve is on the side of the road, a casualty of the accident, El-Rashad said. Motorists going northbound see a sign showing a curvy road and 20mph speed limit.
"This is a very dangerous hill," El-Rashad said. "There are accidents here all the time. . . If you are going fast either way, you can lose control.
Spring Hill Road is a still a narrow curvy country lane although much of it is now flanked by large million dollar home-sites etched on former farms.
Four years ago there was a similar accident, El-Rashad said. "This hill is the source of a lot of problems," he said. Then he pointed to two concrete pillars at the entrance to his home. They are relatively new he said. A car smashed into them in another accident and they had to be replaced, he said.
