Man Fatally Stabs Stepfather, Injures Mother At McLean Home: Police
A 39-year-old man fatally stabbed his stepfather at a home in McLean Tuesday night, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
MCLEAN, VA — A 39-year-old man fatally stabbed his stepfather at a home in McLean Tuesday night, according to the Fairfax County Police Department.
Shortly after 11 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a call from a woman who stated her son had stabbed her husband, police said.
When they arrived at the home in the 1200 block of Colonial Road in McLean, police officers quickly took the son, Adam Timothy Jackson Jr., into custody, according to police.

Jackson's stepfather, Alan Miller Kaufmann, 68, was found in the home suffering from trauma to the upper body. Life-saving measures were attempted, but the man was pronounced dead at the home by Fairfax County Fire and Rescue personnel, police said.
Jackson also stabbed his mother, who was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of injuries that were not considered life-threatening, according to police.

Jackson was taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and charged with second-degree murder. He was held on no bond, police said.
