Tour Campus, Meet Teachers At BASIS Independent McLean Open House

MCLEAN, VA —BASIS Independent McLean is hosting an open house event on Saturday, Jan. 21, where attendees will get to tour classrooms and the rest of the McLean school’s campus.

Attendees also will get to meet teachers and hear from current students who attend the school and their parents. The school is located at 8000 Jones Branch Drive in McLean.

BASIS Independent McLean has about 100 administrators, teachers and staff members. Forty-four percent of the teachers have advanced degrees, according to the school. More than 50 sports, clubs and activities are offered at BASIS Independent.

Here are the times for Saturday’s open house:

• Early Learning Program (toddler-K): 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• Primary Program (grades 1-4): 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• Middle School Program (grades 5-8): 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
• High School Program (grades 9 and above): 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

BASIS Independent McLean and its sister schools across the country are owned by Spring Education Group, a California company that oversees a network of about 220 schools. Spring Education Group is controlled by Primavera Holdings Limited, an investment firm principally based in Hong Kong, with operations in China, Singapore and the United States.
