Tuesday Public Meetings on Getting Riders to New Stations

Fairfax County officials  are host  four public meetings  next week to share and gather ideas on  bus transit, bicycle and pedestrian improvements needed to get riders to the four new stations now under construction in Tysons Corner. Remember there will be no daily or long-term parking at the stations, because Tysons will be transformed into a city in the next 20 years. 

Here are some frequently asked questions about the upcoming meetings with answers supplied by the county.  The first one is at McLean High School Tuesday night.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT THE MEETINGS?
During these meetings, you will have an opportunity to learn more about the project by viewing a short presentation. You’ll then have the opportunity to ask questions of County Staff and to engage in small group discussions to identify your priorities for bus, bicycle and pedestrian improvements that are necessary to access the new stations.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH YOUR INPUT?
The Fairfax County Department of Transportation will use the input obtained through this outreach process to prioritize recommended bus, bicycle and pedestrian improvements providing access to the new Metrorail Stations in Tysons Corner.

HOW CAN I PROVIDE INPUT?
You can provide input by attending and participating in any of the four public meetings. You may also provide input online, when the new website is launched, by completing the coming online survey. The site launch will be announced soon.
