Assistance League Grateful For Support Of Sponsors And Donors
Corporate Sponsors and Silent Auction Donors Help Sustain Nonprofit's Programs

Assistance League of Northern Virginia’s planning committee for the Literary Luncheon and Fundraiser met recently to celebrate the successes of that event and to lay the groundwork for an even more impactful gathering next year.
Assistance League owes a debt of gratitude to its two corporate sponsors, NOVEC (Northern Virginia Electric Cooperative) and Northwest Federal Credit Union, for their generous contributions. Their support helped reduce the overall cost of the event. Furthermore, the nonprofit was fortunate to receive donations from 32 businesses and several members for our silent auction, which also boosted the funds raised at the luncheon. It's important to note that Assistance League does not rely on federal, state, or local funding; its programs are sustained through the generosity of our friends, supporters, and grant funding.
A highlight of the fundraiser was the compelling testimonial delivered by the Keynote Speaker, Kathleen Sain, who is the principal of an elementary school the nonprofit supports. Her heartfelt description of the positive impact of Assistance League’s programs on her students underscored the transformative partnership they have nurtured. Assistance League’s programs provide essential resources, such as weekly food bags, new clothing, sneakers, books, and hygiene items. Its holistic approach aims to ensure that students have the necessary support to maintain their dignity and comfort, allowing them to focus on their academic potential without the burden of unmet basic needs.
