Help Recognize 20 Years Of Community Service
Give A Gift Of Clothing To Help Kids In Need

Assistance League of Northern Virginia has been a chapter of the National Assistance League for 20 years, serving at-risk children with multiple programs. Over the years the nonprofit has been able to expand its services to respond to community needs and help a greater number of elementary students at local Title 1 schools. As Assistance League celebrates its 20th Anniversary, it invites the public to join the celebration by making a purchase from the monthly wish lists to augment the nonprofit’s ability to serve even more students.
The April wish list features the short-sleeve T-shirts that children will need for spring and summer. Anyone with children knows how quickly they outgrow their clothes. But most people in an affluent area like Northern Virginia don’t realize how difficult it is for lower-income families to provide new clothes for their children as seasons change. Keep in mind this lasting thought from Aesop: “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted,” and make a donation to help children in need enjoy Spring.
