The Mount Vernon-Lee Chamber of Commerce will move to its own building at a historic property on Richmond Highway at the end of August and develop a regional visitors' center.
The chamber will move to Pagett Property Management at 6821 Richmond Highway, officially opening Sept. 1, according to the group's newsletter, Chamber Currents. Chamber members Ed and Cherie Pagett will continue to maintain an office at the historic building.
The moving process starts at the end of August, but the chamber expects renovations to take two or three months. The group is planning to host an open house and ribbon cutting on Nov. 14.
