MVHS Theatre Arts Presents Spamalot: School Edition
Singing, dancing, and laughter galore!

Mount Vernon High School presents audiences with a medieval spectacle full of charm and adventure disguised as musical mayhem in their spring musical, Monty Python’s Spamalot School Edition. Monty Python’s SPAMALOT School Edition is presented through special arrangement with and all authorized performance materials are supplied by Theatrical Rights Worldwide 1180 Avenue of the Americas, Suite 640, New York, NY 10036. www.theatricalrights.com
Spamalot School Edition is a wacky musical that keeps you glued to your seat and shaking with laughter. King Arthur (Matthew Boehm) is on a journey to find the Holy Grail with his band of misfits including the brave Sir Lancelot (Micheal Hodges), the not-so-brave Sir Robin (JJ Dunn), Sir Galahad (Rayne Garcia-Cruz), and the creative Sir Bedevere (Dawson Connelly). Of course, we can’t forget Arthur’s faithful horse Patsy (Natalie Stankiewicz) who is not at all appreciated and probably would deserve a raise if horses were paid. Throughout this whimsical tale, this group of knights travels far and wide in their search from the country of France to a very expensive forest as their journey is documented by a Historian (Nathaniel Work-Dembowski). As they reach obstacles on their path, they receive a helping hand from the illustrious, mysterious, and glamorous Lady of the Lake (Juliet Pascoe), who may or may not have a thing for King Arthur.
The actors have had an enjoyable time putting this production together and it shows. You can see how much they all enjoy playing these roles and how every cast member has put a little part of themselves within their character. Also, while the leads have their time to shine our ensemble each has a role where they get their time to shine outside of helping bring the rest of the magical story to life.

We also have so many outstanding costumes that our costume crew worked to create. Wacky but attention-grabbing props like the Wheel of Fortune. Spectacular light cues like a moving rainbow and the French flag. You can also see detailed makeup looks that add to every character’s presence.
