• Advocates seek more protections for manufactured home residents in Fairfax (ffxnow.com) — Fairfax County supervisors have approved new zoning and relocation rules aimed at preserving manufactured home communities, including Harmony Place off Richmond Highway in the Mount Vernon District, but advocates say protections still fall short. Mount Vernon Supervisor Dan Storck and colleagues backed minimum payouts and stipends for displaced residents while acknowledging communication gaps and ongoing fears about redevelopment and rising land values.
