Grand Opening of Ropewalk Chincoteague Will Feature Food/Drink Specials, Music, and Family Fun

Ropewalk, Chincoteague’s newest family "beach" seafood restaurant, will hold a grand opening event on Thursday, May 25 at 4PM at their location at 6262 Marlin Street, next to Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott
Chincoteague Island. Festivities will include a ribbon cutting, live entertainment, outdoor play activities for kids, and food/drink specials.

“Ropewalk has been a top rated and popular institution in Baltimore since 1995 – as well as in Fenwick Island and Ocean City – and we’re thrilled that the restaurant has brought its unique vibe, excellent menu, and established brand to Chincoteague,” says Patty Shea, Director of Sales and Marketing at Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Chincoteague Island. “The restaurant offers a fun, open-air beach atmosphere that’s unique
to the region, and we look forward to sharing the experience with our guests, our event/celebration clients, and our business meeting clients.”

Ropewalk, which is located at the site previously occupied by The Jackspot, will bring a number of new elements to the Chincoteague dining scene, including:

● A barge bar, which will be moored next to the restaurant and will give diners a new way to drink and mingle while floating on the Chincoteague Bay

● An outdoor “beach” seating/eating area complete with fire pits, a tiki bar, a playground, cornhole boards, and palm trees

● An expanded calendar of live entertainment

● Menu items that aren’t available anywhere on the island – including Crab Cake Egg Rolls with Thai Aioli and wings that are smoked in-house with Ropewalk’s signature rub

● Ropewalk Liberty Oysters that are sourced from the restaurant’s local oyster bed

“Along with its superb dining and energetic ambiance, Ropewalk will also be available to our guests who wish to hold their celebration events, business meetings, or corporate retreats in the restaurant’s Narrows Ballroom banquet space,” says Shea. “The Ballroom offers gorgeous 180-degree views of Chincoteague Bay, and can accommodate 100 people for events with customizable menus and 120 people for business
meetings/retreats with full multimedia capabilities.’
