All five National Merit Scholarship semifinalists from Oakton High School were named as finalists last week. Joseph Choi, Raymond Daniels, Kirin Gupta, Catherine Mahoney and Grace Newman remain in the running for the honor. Winners will be selected later this academic year.
High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
