Over 100 faculty members, including nearly two dozen from George Mason University, identified actions that could make an immediate impact, emphasizing that community-level solutions can work as well as broader ones. The top recommendation is to expand and build upon effective community engagement and violence interruption programs while acknowledging the need for further study and pairing measures with legislation.
