Alexandria City Academy Accepting Applications

Eight-week program is open to residents and business owners operating within city limits.

The Alexandria City Academy is now accepting applications from citizens interested in learning more about how the city operates.

The city’s Office of Communications and Public Information offers the eight-week course, formerly called the Citizens Academy.

Classes take place Thursdays, March 8 through April 25 from 7  p.m. to 9 p.m. at various locations throughout the city.

The academy is open to residents 18 years and older and to business owners operating within city limits.

The deadline for applaying is Feb. 15. To request an application, go online to alexandriava.gov/CityAcademy or pick up a copy at City Hall.
