"Matt is putting his best paw forward in hopes that you’ll give him a chance to fill your days with love. This handsome guy is two years old and determined to be a cuddly lap dog despite being 56 pounds. Matt is a super-friendly dog who greets everyone with enthusiastic tail wags and gives kisses to his favorite friends. He adores people and simply staying close to his humans. Matt is equally happy snuggling on the sofa or hiking in the Shenandoahs. Matt is a playful young pup who could make a fun running buddy, and he can chill with you afterward to recover. He is truly made to be a best friend and would love to be with you wherever you go, on neighborhood walks or trips to the Virginia countryside. Matt is a flexible personality and could make an awesome family pet, or he could fit equally well into a happy single-human household with tons of attention to share. If you would like to meet Matt, contact the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. Thanks to a generous donor, Matt’s adoption fees have been paid!"
