Alexandria Under Winter Weather Advisory

There’s a winter weather advisory for the Alexandria area Friday.

The advisory is in effect until 9 p.m. Friday with the NWS predicting about an inch of snow accumulation.

Alexandria City Public Schools has canceled all of its evening activities.

Roads are expected to become snow covered and slippery with hazardous travel conditions during the afternoon and evening.

A small craft advisory is in effect for the waters Saturday.
