Indivisible Do Something Alexandria says it is intended to be a "peaceful protest against Trump's illegal and authoritarian actions." City Council members, state delegates and congressional representatives have been invited but not confirmed to attend.

"As the Trump regime continues to assault our Alexandria community — disappearing immigrant neighbors, villainizing federal workers, and crushing free speech — we are lining the street to loudly and fearlessly declare that there are No Kings in America," said protest spokesperson Tess McEnery.
