April 'Birthday Bash' at Restaurant Eve in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The City's most celebrated eatery, Restaurant Eve, is turning 12 in April and, for the fifth year in a row, is offering the April Birthday Bash: the gift of the Five-Course Tasting Menu to anyone with a birthday in April.

Restaurant Eve celebrates its birthday in April, as does the restaurant's namesake, Eve Armstrong. Eve, who wants to be a veterinarian when she grows up, told her parents that instead of presents, she prefers her friends and family give to the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.

Inspired by their daughter’s giving heart, the April Birthday Bash was born, and has since become a way to help Eve with her philanthropic efforts by requesting that Birthday Bash diners bring a check or donation to the Animal Welfare League, the restaurant announced Wednesday. In the five years since its kickoff, the April Birthday Bash has raised significant funds as well as bringing in needed blankets, food and toys.

“I’m a chef’s daughter and I’ve learned that chefs and most restaurant people are some of the most giving people I’ve ever known," Eve said in the restaurant's announcement. "My dad is always at a school helping kids understand food, or he’s promoting how to eat better and live health. I want to be like him and help the world become a better place.”

• "April Birthday Bash" is valid Tuesday-Thursday evening.
• Reservations must be called in, reservations made online will not be honored.
• Valid ONE per table - if all enjoy a Five-Course Tasting Menu, one guest is treated to a Five-Course Tasting Menu.
• Gratuity still needs to be shared.
• ABC law does not permit us to include alcohol.
• Does not apply to the Asian-Inspired Tasting Menu.
• Not able to be combined with other promotions.
• Please bring a gift or check for animals of the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria.
