Bike to Work Day Registration Open

Choose from three pit stops in the City of Alexandria, but there are many spots to choose from across the DC metro area.

Bike to Work Day 2013 online registration is now open and the City of Alexandria has three pit stops to choose from in Carlyle, Mark Center and Old Town.

Many Washington, DC area communities are participating in the May 17 event.

Free T-shirts will be available for the first 12,000 registrants who are in attendance at the pit stop where they are registered.

In Alexandria, there are pit stops at Market Square in front of City Hall, Mark Center at the east side of the north parking garade and in John Carlyle Square Park at 300 John Carlyle St.

The League of American Bicyclists began Bike to Work Day in 1956 as part of  Bike to Work month.
