Convenience Store Held Up at Gunpoint Overnight in Alexandria: Police

Police are investigating an armed robbery of a convenience store that took place Tuesday night. Two suspects held up the store, police said.

ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Alexandria Police Department is investigating a commercial robbery of a convenience store in the 500 block of John Carlyle Street (see map below), police said in an alert late Tuesday night. Two suspects robbed the store of cash and one brandished a gun, police said. No one was injured, according to police.

Police sent out an alert about the Tuesday night robbery Wednesday morning, just after midnight, at 12:36 a.m.
