Crime Report: A Stolen Word and a Trolley Brawl

The following crimes were reported by the Alexandria Police Department to crimereports.com from April 1-12.

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents.

April 12 – An assault was reported in the 500 block of Gibbon Street.

April 11 – Cash and a credit card were stolen from a wallet that was left unsecured in the owner's vehicle parked in the 700 block of S. Lee Street.

April 9 – Cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a driveway in the 100 block of Moncure Drive.

April 8 – Thieves entered a woman’s unlocked car parked at the corner of Gibbon and Lee streets and stole a watch.

April 7 – A word was stolen from a business’ Velcro sign in the 900 block of King Street.

April 7 – A sexual assault was reported in the 800 block of Prince Street.

April 7 – An assault was reported in the 1300 block of Madison Street between two people who knew each other.

April 5 – A locked vehicle was entered by unknown means and a thief stole four battery chargers in the 700 block of  S. Alfred Street.

April 4 – A woman reported that make-up and prescription medicine were stolen from her car while it was parked in a lot located in the 1500 block of King Street.

April 4 – A victim reported his cell phone was stolen from his unlocked truck in the 900 block of Cameron Street.

April 4 – Three robbers entered a phone store in the 1200 block of King Street and ripped three cell phones anchored from the store display and fled the scene.

April 4 – A man reported that while he was away from his home, he was robbed of his television, iPad and watch  - probably by his roommate in the 800 block of S. St. Asaph Street.

April 4 – An iPod Touch was stolen from a car in the 700 block of S. Alfred Street.

April 4 – A breaking and entering was reported in the 1200 block of Madison Street when unknown suspects attempted to enter a resident by bodily forcing the front door to the residence but no entry was made.

April 3 – A fight broke out between two passengers on the King Street trolley as they were exiting the vehicle in the 1900 block of King Street.

April 2 – Unknown suspects ransacked the interior of a car parked in the 700 block of Prince Street and stole loose change.

April 1 – Thirty power tools were stolen from a construction site in the 500 block of Slaters Lane.
