Crime Report: Breaking and Entering on North Washington
The following crimes were reported by the Alexandria Police Department to crimereports.com from March 17-29.

Note: The addresses listed below indicate blocks and not specific addresses of incidents.
March 29 – An assault was reported in the 400 block of S. Columbus Street and an arrest was made.
March 29 – A theft was reported in the 700 block of King Street. There are no additional details available.

March 29 – A vehicle was stolen from the 800 block of Madison Street.
March 28 – A breaking and entering incident was reported in the 800 block of N. Washington Street.

March 28 – Property vandalism was reported in the 500 block of Bashford Lane.
March 27 – A robber attempted to steal a woman’s purse in the 100 block of Royal Street, but she held on to it and “wrestled with the subject,” according to the description provided to crimereports.com, until the would-be thief fled the scene.
March 27 – Thieves broke into two vehicles by breaking their windows and stole a cello and gym bag from one car and a laptop from the other, in the 700 block of Church Street.
March 25 – A woman reported that someone stole her bicycle and trunk rack secured to a pipe near her vehicle from the garage in the 600 block of West Street.
March 25 – A witness reported seeing a driver of a vehicle driving in and out of a garage, through the security gates, damaging the arms of the security gates in the 1100 block of N. Fairfax Street.
March 25 – Vandalism of property was reported when unknown suspects spray painted a wall of a building located in the 1500 block of Powhatan Street.
March 25 – A woman left her car unlocked in the 300 block of N. Fayette Street and thieves stole her purse from it.
March 25 – A robbery was reported in the 2800 block of Duke Street.
March 22 – Thieves stole a laptop from an unlocked vehicle parked at N. Payne and Princess streets.
March 21 – A car owner’s front license plate was stolen from the company vehicle he was using. The incident occurred in the 700 block of S. Washington Street.
March 21 – Thieves entered a car parked in the 500 block of Janneys Lane in a residential home driveway and stole a tote bag containing a recorder and personal papers.
March 19 – A sexual offense was reported in the 700 block of Queen Street. Detail are listed as not available to protect the victim’s privacy.
March 18 – A woman reported that someone stole her jacket, cell phone and wrist purse from a bar in the 700 block of King Street. The coat and cell phone were returned, but the purse and its contents were not.
March 17 – A theft from a vehicle was reported in the 1000 block of Prince Street.
